This is the worst the purge movie!! Dont waist your time

It’s alr. Wish they used the n word less. Embodiment of “before you think the government wouldn’t do that, oh yes they would.” Anyway it’s the worst of the film series. Meh.

Best one by far. Immaculate soundtrack and score and amazing talent, I’d watch this over any of the others any day.

These always suck

I really appreciate the consistency of this franchise. Always upsetting, always topical, always infuriating, and always displaying black excellence which I will always appreciate🙂‍↕️ this movie didn’t do all that much that was new tho, apart from showing how the rebellion formed.

Despite its goofiness and inflated sense of relevance, “The First Purge” is serviceable throwaway entertainment....But it’s still not a movie to recommend. It’s more of the same in slightly (and I do mean slightly) different packaging.

This was ok not the best could have definitely done more with this with the politics of the purge

This isn’t very good. I wish they had shown more of the political stuff, as well as the journalism. It could have been way more interesting. I think they just butchered the concept. Plenty of missed opportunities here. Disappointing. I wouldn’t watch this again. It’s whatever.

This was definitely the weakest one out of all I’ve seen so far. Although it was cool to see how The Purge basically all started. It was pretty slow at first but quickly picked up. However I think what this lacked was a solid narrative, but it was still alright. 7/10

This movie had a decent story on the origin and had potential but the b.s. black panther kingpin love story was so unnecessary

practically the exact same as other purge movies — same plot while simultaneously upsetting and infuriating. very predictable but appreciation for the display of government targeting low income communities and bipoc. even more appreciation for cont. black excellence & resilience
