Stunning atmosphere

The tension that is built throughout this runtime is truly horrifying, ratcheting it up until you are at your own edge of sanity. Effective scares, great performances, and a stark icy landscape all make for a ghoulish watch!

It’s dark. It’s bleak. It’s not what I thought, but maybe it’s more than what I thought as well. It is a slow burn, so the pacing might put some off. I liked it.

A slow-burning descent into dread that lingers long after it ends. Haunting atmosphere, striking photography, and a strong cast led by a phenomenal performance. Beware of the draughr!

I don’t like scary movies in the first place but I watched it with friends and I couldn’t sleep without a light on for like a week it’s not even scary scary but it still scared me lol

great story and very eerie, just a bit too slow for me. there wasn’t enough for it to feel like a horror movie as much as it did a drama.

The setting and premise were good, but it felt like watching a home video and the ending was upsetting.

I just could not get into this movie and the ambiguous ending frustrated me.

Great atmosphere use of background horror during the nighttime scenes, but overall very lacklustre and an utter waste of The Hound (he just inexplicably stops showing up 20min in). And yes, it is going for the Eggers vibe.

I’m was almost disappointed with the mythological silliness but the final revelation really elevates the movie. It also raises important questions about the fate of the other fishermen, now that we know the main character pov to be unreliable.

It is a very drag along movie. The story is pretty predictable and it didn't really keep my attention. It tried and the acting was good. From the trailer I was kinda expecting more

Ah-maz-ing. Solidly creepy ghost story with more to it than meets the eye.
