I honestly didn’t think this one was all that scary…it was entertaining but I just cringed through most of it. It seemed a bit cheap compared to the first movie. Not my favorite. Could have been wayyy better!

Did enjoy first one is better have become a big fan of the Conjuring universe

It is a basic thing done very well, in many ways a pristine example of what Wan always shows up to do. He’s going to keep you anxious and create memorable and horrific imagery that lingers in the mind, as well as moments of levity in-between that’s are surprisingly genuine.

That old man was actually terrifying. But the ending feels like it was a little rushed. I do really like the film tho. The plot is very good and I recommend watching all of the Conjuring films. But like all the movies were Ed and Lorain are in its often a great film.

While not as “scary” as the original, it still succeeds in nearly every way. This movie took the more “showing” than “telling” approach in contrast to the original, but it was still handled very well. The horror and emotional elements peaked, and will go down as one of the best.

valak was a bust BUT there is always time for the crooked man.

Nice camerawork and perhaps less scarier than the first entry but the horror on this one felt more frenetic, I dig the christmas twist as well.

I'd probably give it the same rating as the first. In some ways, it's better, and in others, worse. The pacing, for starters, was painstakingly slow and didn't necessarily require a 2-hour runtime, especially as it's a repeat, just set in England and with a slightly better, albeit formulaic, ending. Wilson and Farmiga have nothing more to prove as Ed and Lorraine. The effects looked great, and Valak looked disgustingly fascinating. I wish we got to see more of her. The atmosphere Wan creates is wild, and just like the entire street of Enfield, I'll be out busy watching the next.

We gotta start bringing hatches with us so we can start bashing doors down faster.

This movie is actually abysmal. It spends 2 long, drawn out, slow ass hours building up 1 thing to happen… and then they don’t even have the balls to do that. Also these people are fucking horrible parents.

My favourite movie out of the Conjuring Universe. Just love the setting and the double possesion thats going on. Just great

Definitely not as good as the first conjuring. The main actress was not very good and the scares were laughable. Wouldn’t recommend.
