The Conjuring 2

I honestly didn’t think this one was all that scary…it was entertaining but I just cringed through most of it. It seemed a bit cheap compared to the first movie. Not my favorite. Could have been wayyy better!

Did enjoy first one is better have become a big fan of the Conjuring universe

It is a basic thing done very well, in many ways a pristine example of what Wan always shows up to do. He’s going to keep you anxious and create memorable and horrific imagery that lingers in the mind, as well as moments of levity in-between that’s are surprisingly genuine.

some parts looked more comical than scary. the Nun however was way scarier than usual. Ed and Lorraine absolutely carried, but that’s to be expected.

the best from the series. one of the few horror movies that actually made my heart beat pick up pre-jumpscares and the plot projection was so good. I loved how the blocking of lorraine’s visions was revealed and loved the family’s dynamic together. + love the nun’s involvement
