The Conjuring 2

I honestly didn’t think this one was all that scary…it was entertaining but I just cringed through most of it. It seemed a bit cheap compared to the first movie. Not my favorite. Could have been wayyy better!

Did enjoy first one is better have become a big fan of the Conjuring universe

It is a basic thing done very well, in many ways a pristine example of what Wan always shows up to do. He’s going to keep you anxious and create memorable and horrific imagery that lingers in the mind, as well as moments of levity in-between that’s are surprisingly genuine.

Alright.

Impressive tension, strong visuals, and solid scares. The Enfield poltergeist story was compelling. Valak left a lasting impression, even if the film overreached a bit.

Maybe it wasn't ideal to watch this movie without watching the first part. And for those who generally watch horror may not be that scary. Though, the fact that they dared to add that this movie was based on a true story... It gave me the chills. I simply refuse to believe that.
