The Cleansing Hour

the beginning of this movie would have you believe it’s just a cheap, lame horror film but once it gets going, it surprises you
it’s not the best movie ever but it does what it can and delivers a good demon-possessed time with a modern twist and some fun effects

Garbo

The tone is a bit all over the place but the idea is fresh, the acting is solid, and the effects are great. The initial “big reveal” is pretty obvious but then there is an unhinged twist that takes it off the rails. One of the better Shudder Originals.

Not really scary, but it was a fun watch! A few scenes were disturbing, but other than that it was a bit cheesy with a predictable ending. Still, enjoyable, and I’d probably watch it again with friends.

Entertaining enough for the runtime! Some splashy evil dead-style moments. Gotta lay bare your sins & get views no matter what harm it may do; it’s all about the blue checkmark in the age of religious hucksters.
