Amazing. Got the boogeyman story and vibes perfect.
Pros:
-acting, especially the siblings
-boogeyman design and noise
-the ending
-no filler at all
-got straight into the action
-music/loud audio
-jumpscares
-ACTION
Cons:
-the friends were kinda an unnecessary addition

So good! It’s been a while since a scary movie actually scared me!! Stephen King is the GOAT

5.3 - It’s one of the most I’ve seen this before, paint by numbers, nothing creative or unique or risky, horrors I’ve seen in a long time. And it is way, way, way too reliant on jump scares. But the monster is cool & most of my theater was really into it. Maybe worth a stream?

The best scary movie I’ve seen this year (so far). Definitely scared me a lot (Im not that type of person Who get easly scared in horror movies)

So unexpectedly good 👀 Watched it with two other friends and we were all LOCKED in. The only thing we all agreed on at the end was that the monster didn’t really match what “The Boogeyman” typically is, but other than that it was great 👌🏼

This was pretty good! I wasn't laughing at what was happening throughout the movie. I enjoyed it!

⚪ This was just way too cliché for me. Semi-Scary Monster attacks family for no appearant reason other than to repeatedly battle them in flickering lighting. Although I wasn't obsessed with it either, The Babadook did this better. Like Sophie Thatcher in Yellowjackets tho! 🔴

Schauspielerin ganz gut jedoch hat man sich hier story-technisch bei jedem generieschen Horroraspekt bedient, den es gibt. es wird nie genau erklärt, was das eigentlich für ein Monster ist oder wo es herkommt. Horroratmosphäre bringt er ganz gut, aber innovativ ist hier nichts.

Didn’t do anything particularly new or unique, there are a lot of similar horror plot lines out there alike to this one, but the film still works. Sometimes a new version of a tired classic can be fulfilling.

to be fair, it was boring and nothing new, I wish there was a twist instead, however the only good thing about this movie is its creative jumpscare

It was a slow movie . It is scary at time but nothing really original.

This wasn’t that great. I expected better. I liked Sawyer. She was funny and by far the best character. It wasn’t scary. I guess I liked it. I wouldn’t rate it in the meh category but it wasn’t that bussin. So a like it is. Wouldn’t watch it again for a long time probably.
