This is really a lovely movie 🖕

You really have to watch this movie as if everything about the story is purely fictional. It’s beautifully written with an amazing cast, just a huge shame they didn’t actually stay true to Oher’s story. Would not recommend this if you can’t separate fiction from real life though.

I don’t like how it was sort of altered and how Michael Oher himself felt his portrayal wasn’t great and didn’t like the savior theme of it. Think if it wasn’t a biography this movie alone is touching, emotional and overall a good movie. I wish it was kept true to the real story

I have enjoyed this movie since it came out. I’ve seen it a few times. Now I have changed my perspective about it, it’s fiction. If there is any shred of truth about how things really went, this movie is a fantasy and not reality.

That all being said, I still enjoy this movie. It’s heart warming and hopeful. The relationships that evolve in this movie are great to watch and the tragedies of this story are riddled through the story to remind us that life has more trials than others.

If you are looking for a movie to watch and you want to be lifted, this is a good story. Watch it for the fiction that it is and you will like it.🏈

This movie as a biography is really disappointing. I enjoyed watching it growing up but it felt much more like a Leigh Anne Tuohy film than a Michael Oher biopic. Hoping for a documentary in the future after finding out a lot of this film is inaccurate.

Great

A heart warming story overall, but I wished they would’ve stayed true to Oher’s life. A white savior complex was pushed throughout the whole story. Even Oher mentioned in an interview that he wasn’t as introverted and already had a passion for football before meeting the Tuohys.
