Good movie, but the magic is ruined by the sour taste in my mouth.

If you don’t know already, in 2023, Michael Oher (the American footballer player in the poster) filed a lawsuit against Leigh Anne Tuohy (the woman in the poster) and Sean Tuohy (her husband) accusing them of having tricked him into being put into a conservatorship under the disguise of being adopted. Through this, the Tuohys were able to make deals in his name that paid them royalties from this movie while Michael got nothing.

Eventually, Michael’s conservatorship was terminated by the judge, but this lawsuit left a sour taste in my mouth knowing that Michael never got anything from this movie even when the movie was about *his* story.

Yes, this movie is good (Sandra Bullock’s performance as Leigh Anne was PERFECT), but because I watched this after the lawsuit and accusations knowing that Michael was never paid, it kinda just ruined the magic of watching this movie.
