Swamp Thing Reviews

good movie bud very dated

yes

Classic

So charming in an a way only a movie from the 80’s can be

the acting was so bad i could not finish it, watched about 70% and just gave up. sorry not sorry wes craven.

Hear me out.

pretty wild movie that doesn’t really qualify as horror, but i don’t know what else it would be. enjoyable enough, kind of all over the place; what a creature

For a second I thought I was watching a Mission Impossible movie.

PG ratings were much different in the 80s.

Was the best costume but still fun

Not good, but fun. Definitely not Wes Craven’s best (ANoES) or his worst (TLHotL). Effects look cheesy and work for the time. Tonally all over the place and isn’t really funny. Grimy and exploitative, however it’s fun. One of the weirdest and most forgotten DC films you can watch

How this film spawned a sequel and a tv series that lasted 3 seasons defies explanation.

Didn’t interest me

Pretty big fan of this

Z: 3/5
M: 1.5/5

cliche, cringey, & boring. constantly sexualized & objectified the female protagonist. horrendous scene transitions. awful costumes & effects (but it was made in the 80s). just very unenjoyable.
