Still Alice

One of my favorite movies of all-time. Alice is such a relatable and likable character that it’s utterly heartbreaking to watch her family and herself completely unravel. Julianne Moore is absolutely incredible! (Also…shout-out to Kristen Stewart as well!)

Watching someone slowly fade away feels so real. Julianne Moore’s performance stays with you long after the film ends.

Moore's performance was marvellous to behold. The gradual shift from a fierce and confident professor to a lost, confused woman through her eyes makes you feel the Alzheimer with her. The pacing, which becomes more fragmented, with scenes skipping ahead in time more drastically

For as good as it could have been, I felt the movie was drawn in too many directions. And while an unfair comparison, “The Father” is a far more intense and accurate movie.
