Oh man, this messed me up on another level. Such a beautiful comfort movie. Everything about this is comfortable, even the scary things. So creepy yet so cute, so strange yet so wise. The writing was so well done as was the execution. Every time I thought 'it's falling flat', I was proved wrong. It made it more cosy in a way. That as well as the score, all the sounds, all the acting, all the animations and cgis, all the everything. Ugh, I can't get over the wisdom and mystery behind this. Netflix has more misses than hits, but the hits really do hit. It's the best Netflix movie of the year.

I expected a silly astronaut movie. Instead I got a brain aneurysm and a whole new nightmare scenario to worry about. The movie sucked until it didn’t. Paul Dano is one weird fuck for this. You too Sandler. What the fuck.

Truly a profound movie! I loved the slow pace and meaningfulness of it. Great acting and deeply moving.

I was so excited for this movie but it fell short for me. The movie was heavily relationship based when there was sooo much more to be explored with the storyline. It started out with a great and great acting but poor execution. 6.2/10

I never thought an Adam Sandler movie could be so tragic and emotional. This was soo beautiful and tragic at the same time. Creepy yet cute. This was truly a mix of interstellar and Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind. ✨💖but Adam's acting was truly horrible in this ngl

5.5 - Maybe my biggest disappointment of the year so far. It’s a slog, especially through the first half. The story is at times repetitive & boring. Sandler feels like he’s sleepwalking & the other two leads feel drastically under utilized. The script doesn’t do the cast many favors either. The biggest issue is I expected more space sci-fi thriller with a romantic drama flavor & got none of the former. There’s so little tension. It is well shot, especially the space scenes, & it picks up steam towards the end & provides an emotional climax, but it took infinitely too much time to get there. I’m not mad I watched it but I know I’ll never revisit it.

It‘s a slow first half and it takes some time to get into it, but it’s so worth to stick to it and let it sink and develop.

The build up is subtle but from a certain point on the atmosphere, the music and the story got me very emotional without noticing it at first. Beautiful!

This is a totally random review just to get the badge, but the movie was good. I am afraid of spiders though… but he was chill I guess. I would love a part 2 of Spaceman but with a different creature. I think that would be cool. I am almost done here, thank you for your time!!!

waste of time. love adam sandler movies but this was shit.

I never sobbed to a movie so bad before… this literally hit home so bad.. AND HANUS 😭😭 why did he have to die 😞 it was so poetic

What starts as an intriguing premise quickly dissolves into a boring mess of melancholic fodder. Aside from the visuals and decent performances from Sandler and Mulligan, there isn't much to recommend with this one. Clunky editing, confusing execution, and misguided direction.
