Super odd & goofy yet clever at the same time. Highly recommend for a fun movie night but I am confused w/ the ending in terms of Maddie though so someone who has seen it pls help😂

7.4 - solid directorial debut for Jake Johnson. Pretty much what you’d expect based off his body of work. Could have been a multi episode Nick Miller arc. Lots of charming performances. Missing a level of risk & the ending falls a bit flat, but it’s very worth a stream!

Leave it to Jake Johnson to bring back the knee-slapper comedy. Unexpected and unpredictable with a mildly lackluster ending. Still enjoyed the ride especially because it felt like a modern Truman show of sorts.

There were funny parts to this movie, but it didn’t feel totally thought through. The ending was very unsatisfying and worst of all, it was just straight up forgettable. The highlight however was Jake Johnson and Anna Kendrick who were both very funny. Overall 6/10.

I loved this. The cast Amazing. The acting Amazing. The plot amazing. After aimlessly scrolling, I stumbled upon this joy. Finally, a movie that captured and held my attention, and it didn’t have to show someone’s bare ass or shock you beyond immense cringe. I need more Jake!!!

Was on the fence with this one between meh and like. It has its moments as it is like a comedic version of “the game” but never really feels high stakes enough or funny enough for me to get really into it.

Creative and interesting movie. Got a little slow and dragged at times but overall enjoyed it. Focuses not just on winning the game for growth and self worth.

The thing I like the most about this movie is it’s message:
“Surviving is all about the company you keep.”
Very exciting plot, good acting and music selection.

I went into this completely blind, and only because I like Jake Johnson and love Anna Kendrick. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this one! It’s so much funnier that its premise suggests! It’s just a fun little ride.

The movie was pretty swell, had some unexpected parts, but the biggest thing was how the ending just dropped off.

Started off great, but was really odd and a bit confusing for a large portion?

For all the suspenseful music, you’d think there would be a big twist ending or at least more excitement. Instead the whole movie ends up kind of predictable and unsatisfying.
