I’ve never seen the original so I have nothing to compare to, but I enjoyed this movie. It’s campy and cheesy at times but it fits the vibe of the movie.

literally only watched for lewis. quite a few scenes ate so hard. honestly enjoyed more than i thought i would. nice halloween movie, loved the 1970s fall vibes. everything (characters, plot, town, backstories, etc) was very surface level tho which was a shame sometimes :/.

Bad cgi. Poor acting and a poorly made movie. Not scary not really interesting to watch.

When I first heard that this was coming out, i got extremely excited! I wanted to see how faithful it was to the novel. The ending feels like it’s over too quickly and just ends. If I hadn’t read the novel I would have liked this more, but that’s just me.

Slightly cheesy but I think it matched the entire 60/70s vibe…nice creepy eerie feeling with some comedy as well…a fun little watch..nothing scary truthfully but it is a good lil camp movie 7.7/10

It should’ve been better, but I still had a good time. Solving the mystery was a nice touch, but the slow pacing definitely didn’t.

if i was King, i’d burn this production

I’m between meh and like. I like the story, but it could’ve been a bit scarier/more suspenseful. I hate Susan and her stupid haircut and don’t really like the protagonist. The only characters I really like is Mark (he CARRIED the entire movie) and the doctor.

Mark was the only sensible smart person in this movie and the Doctor but she’s an adult Mark had all the sense and he was 11 so he gets more points

God this movie was horrible, no one can make a decent vampire movie, there’s 1 cross in the entire town and they dont do anything during the day until its 15 minutes before sunset they also never use the Holy Water that mike gets, just a terrible movie

As someone who has read the book and enjoyed the 1979 miniseries, this adaptation is very look-warm. There are noticeable editing mistakes and strangest cuts throughout, mixed with some spotty acting. For a mild vampire popcorn flick, it's ok mostly. I'd give it a 5/10

smart characters, good pace. created a believable environment. wish there was a better score but overall, great movie. 8/10. not faithful to the book, but story is still compelling and satisfying.

enjoyed the hell out of this. koved the music, cast, acting, story, all of the above. extra like us the expansion on the lore. loved the crosses and their effect to vampires and such.
