- I’m a be honest this was going to a dislike if I didn’t find out halfway through that it was a biopic
- I still couldn’t give it a like tho because this mfer did not deserve a movie about himself he deserves jail time
- The actors played a great role of making me hate them lol

Robert De Niro delivers a strong performance as Jake LaMotta, with an impressive physical transformation. The black-and-white cinematography adds a sense of mystery to the liquids, enhancing the film's atmosphere. However, the slow pacing makes it hard to stay engaged, & the fight scenes feel unconvincing.

Great cinematography, great sound design, great editing, great movie

it’s about an underdog who never gets to win, and it’s not because of the people around him; it’s because of his own destructiveness, his aching need to be punished for all his sins. well, he got the punishment he wanted, all right. he’s still getting punished.
