I adore the silence in this movie, it feels filled with a horrifying sadness.

as much about loneliness, love and friendship as it is about death, the themes hit well and the actors were good BUT
as adept as kurosawa is at framing of a scene or lighting or whatever film fundamentals you can name .. the tone feels off, doesn’t feel like horror most times
