Insanely overrated. Great directing and performances ofc, but i definitely expected more valuable, gripping themes for the movie to be built on.
Therefore, i expected more compelling writing and a stronger movie overall. Especially with a crew like this. In the end it just-

i actually rlly liked this movie it’s v slow but it’s more about the characters than any sort of storyline
it takes stereotypes of characters and molds them into something twisted
they also do a nice job of portraying obsession
cool cinematography, also daniel day lewis

it’s just so slow. i wanted to like it but nothing about it was great😭

cinematography & acting YES

hardly anything really happens but the small details and fine changes are portrayed so well, how he gets so frustrated & distracted by every single thing she does, like buttering her toast, you can sense his distraction and bossyness insanely well

Another psychosexual games movie has hit the tower. Also the score is insane. So fucking beautiful. I hate how good you are Paul Thomas Anderson I hate it.

A film without conflict or anything worth watching. From an arrogant, self righteous, unlikable lead, to the supporting cast that enables him to be who he wants, when he wants, this film does not wish to tell a story but to bore you.

7.4/10 a beautiful film but too slow, but the performances of the main characters are best

Slow but interesting

I’m not sure how to feel about this one. The cinematography and costuming was fantastic, but the whole rest of the movie was a toxic relationship and fashionista vibes. I didn’t like it as much as I hoped but it was okay
