Insanely overrated. Great directing and performances ofc, but i definitely expected more valuable, gripping themes for the movie to be built on.
Therefore, i expected more compelling writing and a stronger movie overall. Especially with a crew like this. In the end it just-

i actually rlly liked this movie it’s v slow but it’s more about the characters than any sort of storyline
it takes stereotypes of characters and molds them into something twisted
they also do a nice job of portraying obsession
cool cinematography, also daniel day lewis

A film without conflict or anything worth watching. From an arrogant, self righteous, unlikable lead, to the supporting cast that enables him to be who he wants, when he wants, this film does not wish to tell a story but to bore you.
