Night Is Short, Walk On Girl

This is a bizarre movie but a cute love story. I enjoyed it. The animation style is unique but I really liked it. There are fun themes of youth, time, and fate that were all explored really well. Overall a very fun movie

Night Is Short, Walk On Girl

“Even as you profess your isolation, you're still bound to others in the end. Everyone is connected to the threads of fate you weave, whether they like it or not. You're absolutely not alone!”

Night Is Short, Walk On Girl is a good ass movie, like the anime love equivalent of pure hopecore equal to that of Little Miss Sunshine. The animation is spectacular, the characters are insanely likeable and best of all, the messages and layers are just fucking outstanding.

1st Act 8.8/10 (It’s good, but when you compare it to the rest of the movie, it’s like not even a contest.)

2nd Act 9.6/10 (Insanely paced, peak directing, stunning cinematography, just wised we got one more little subplot.)

3rd Act 11/10 (everything from the last one, but better, and has some of greatest moments in hopecore ever written.)

Plot 9.3/10 (Wished it was longer to give more development, but had the risk of overstaying its welcome, so overall pretty good, just needed a middle ground.)

Soundtrack/Score 8.7/10 (Some really good moments, blends in well, but the OST was never released so i can’t really judge fully.)

Acting 8.8/10 (Great, Just great, not much else other than it’s just as good as it needed to be.)

Pacing 9.8/10 (Lets frames breathe and have 5 in 4 seconds? Like are we sure this is from 2017??)

Cinematography 9.8/10 (Absolutely stunning at points, I love the colour scheme so much, while the art style wasn’t entirely my taste, it grows on you.)

Character Development 9.2/10 (All incredibly Likeable, like insanely, however I do wish we got one little subplot to develop one or more of the more.)

Writing 9.5/10 (Pure hopecore is the best kind of writing, and not only is at its best, it’s THE best.)

Ending 10/10 (Like Chainsaw Man if Fujimoto liked his fans.)

Direction 9.4/10 (Loving the random cut shots and close ups, really adds to the mystical atmosphere the night has.)
