6.4 - my scale is a meh but I liked this enough. I’m biased towards A24 movies & love their grounded slice of life projects as much as anything else they do. This had a very short & direct plot. Decent enough acting, though I’m still pretty out on Jaeden Martell. Nails the small beach town summer aesthetics which is really what drew me in. Always enjoy both a little “doing petty crimes with my friends” & a quick treasure hunt story too. I wish there was a little more time to give us more depth on these characters. And maybe even a more ambiguous ending. Pretty tight & simple coming of age drama worth the watch, at least once.
