Vibes were great, fruit were penetrated, pants were inhaled, air was humped.

this movie had a great slow, poetic vibe.
the aesthetic and soundtrack were beautiful, and the story of elio’s first love felt layered. some scenes were a bit too freaky, but overall it’s the kind of film you could rewatch and keep finding new meanings and depth

see and i have seen the societal implications of this fuck ass movie over the yrs deadass in real time. if i had to rip this movie one of existence i would. it’s really good but this is the first very popular example of how movie making has changed especially in the gay community.
which dont get me wrong i love that ppl love cinemantics and vibe and stuff. like gorgeous yes. and cmbyn doesn’t fall under this category but imma blame it for it though. why do yall think you can shoot pretty stuff and throw in two men and think that maketh a movie.
my policeman, queer, all of us stranger, the history of sound. loving yall horrible but the struggle it is to get through a movie that feels empty is so real. an lgbtq relationship is not enough to support a 2 hr and 30 minute movie im so sorry.
i’m not blaming luca guadaningo cause he has BANGERS. like this is the man that made challengers and luca, i fucking love him for that. and this movie also, but how abt we stop trying to copy the vibes and looks of this movie and make smth new.
its so obvious when inspiration is pulled from cmbyn so how abt we stop that and make smth else. cause the long winded movies abt one thing is getting tired and it’s not just lgbtq+ movies its a lot of other things. some movies just feel so empty now
it could be my short attention span though cause a portrait of a lady on fire is sooooooooo fucking good omg
