John and the Hole

id have an easier time teaching a snail rocket science than explaining what the hell this movie was

The main storyline was alright, pretty unsettling. But the side story with the mother and daughter is so confusing. I keep trying to understand how it connects to the rest of the plot and I just can’t.

I put this on my watchlist because of Michael C Hall but it was more creepy and weird than I could have hoped for! I think the allegory leaned too far into the eccentric, but I still really liked it.

2 / 10 ⭐️.

Visuals were great, characters were very dislikable and not able to get any sort of connection or depth with them, I got the meaning behind it all but felt it was extremely underwhelming and had a lot of unnecessary scenes.

Rather watch paint dry.

4/10 was a great advert for Durex though

Honestly cool but very strange take on the realization towards adulthood and responsibility that kids eventually have to face. I thought the acting was decent and of course loved the eerie aesthetics
