Jaws
I’d slap the sh— (Again, can I say that here?) out of that mayor. Seriously. What is wrong with politicians? Is it a requirement they have to be ignorant, in denial, or some combination of the two?

Just a classic movie. Going through and really learning about the film and understanding what they did to make this movie what it is makes it just that much better. But overall a good movie that everyone needs to see.

8.8/10 - Very impressive piece of film. The fact that it still holds up 50 years later is a testament to its (and Spielberg’s) greatness.

First half is a little boring but the last half is great.
The entire Orca boat Sequence is truly amazing.
For its time and no CGI, its pretty incredible with props and models alone

Jaws is a timeless masterpiece of suspense that earns an 9.8/10 rating. Steven Spielberg's masterful direction, combined with iconic performances and one of the greatest film scores ever composed, created a cultural phenomenon that forever changed Hollywood.
Highlights:
• Masterful Storytelling: The screenplay is a masterwork of structure and suspense, building dread and delivering heart-pounding shocks.
• Legendary Performances: The trio of Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss, and Robert Shaw deliver iconic performances that anchor the film.
• Suspenseful Direction: Spielberg's direction is flawless, suggesting the creature's presence rather than showing it, and creating a textbook example of Hitchcockian suspense.
Why it's a classic:
• Timeless Thrills: Jaws remains just as effective, thrilling, and scary today as it was upon its release in 1975.
• Influence on Film: It's a perfect fusion of horror, adventure, and masterful character drama that set the standard for an entire generation of filmmakers.
Overall, Jaws is a towering achievement in film history and a must-see for anyone who loves movies.

Jaws
There are a few surprising scares in this, though this is foremost an adventure against an insurmountable creature movie. It’s a played out premise now but I’m surprised how the sorta first of its kind develops. They make every character interaction worth its screentime really…

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than by doing a first-time watch of one of Steven Spielberg’s classics, Jaws! Even if you’ve never seen this film, it is more than likely that you have seen many of its iconic images and stills. 5 out of 5 rating

Jaws is a splendidly shrewd cinematic equation which not only gives you one or two very nasty turns when you least expect them but, possibly more important, knows when to make you think another's coming without actually providing it.

Watched it in the IMAX for my first viewing and it was impressive!! Great use of atmospheric tension and heroes to root for make this the definitive blockbuster even after all these years.
