This is Oscar Isaac’s best role imo. He plays a depressed folk singer very well, and the dude has pipes. The Coen brothers know how to tell a great story.

sometimes you do your best but you end up getting your proverbial ass beat in an alley.

Great performances, great story, great cinematography, KILLER soundtrack. However, for some reason, I can’t see this as being something to rewatch.

Still worth having a look, especially if you like folk music (I listen to too much Bob Dylan).

A good and underrated gem from the Coen Brothers. With some great performances and the story was crafted in a unique way than any previous film about a musician.
