3.3 - One of my favorite books in middle school, one of the most disappointing adaptations I’ve seen. So much magic and suspense lost. Mediocre acting. Bad effects, both practical and digital. Poor pacing. Someone give this another shot in 5 years or so.

I was obsessed with this movie as a kid, and in many ways it still holds up pretty well
