Based on the trailer alone, I thought this movie was going to be a cliche religious horror movie involving a supernatural pregnancy but the reveal of what is actually going on surprised me a lot. Also, Sydney Sweeney’s performance genuinely impressed me, especially at the end

Felt like a whole lot of build up for no climax… like 2 kind of jump scares but mostly just kind of vaguely unsettling and they didn’t even show the baby at the end??? And the weird red nuns? What was up with the opening scene just never going to bring that up?

sydney needed a breakout role to get out of the “big boob blonde” trope and this was definitely it! it showcased that she genuinely is a good actress. ending scene🫣🫣girl put her ALL into that!!! i love women rage in films.

Sydney Sweeney puts on an Immaculate performance... No, but seriously she was really good! The film is swift, well acted, creepy, and thought provoking. It's not going to be the best movie I've seen all year, but for my money this was a pretty good horror flick. 7/10

Sydney sweeney is a phase. Could have been 4 stars for me if the lead was substituted for someone more… “immaculate”. The supporting cast were brilliant and it was a nice fresh horror in my opinion where it was more mentally stimulating than others.

Neon did a great job at creating a well made movie but the areas that lacked were what stood out the most. Long periods without any excitement caused by the poor pacing. Jump scares were predictable and Sydney’s acting felt forced. My opinion seems unshared so watch for yourself

Watched the world premier at SXSW, it’s Sydney’s best acting I’ve seen so far. Was expecting religious horror but it’s really more bodily autonomy horror and SUPER GORY!! Decent jumpscares but if you don’t do blood you won’t like it. Left so many unanswered questions tho, mid

It was decent, honestly not as good as I expected it to be

I was shocked how much I loved this movie. Slow at times but it actually fits with the vibe of the movie. I jumped a few times, interesting story, and I loved the ending. Check it out!

Sydney's performance was incredible, and the plot was literally flawless, but the movie needed a longer runtime and a better director to spice it up a little bit with the pacing and the emotional depth.
Still, amazing and worth a watch.

Rather dull mostly. Spent majority of the time trying to trick you into thinking this had a supernatural aspect to it, then revealed the premise with very little pay off. Sweeney’s performance in the last 30min really raises the stakes. Would’ve loved to see more on the concept.

Sweeney throws herself into her role while the rest of the cast seems almost incidental... Steel yourself for medieval tortures, random attacks, hidden catacombs, and disinterested exposition... light but forgettable nunsploitation.

love the main character

A good movie that needed more. The horror was quite horrifying, the score was unnerving, the sfx and screaming were deafening, and the costume and set design was pleasing. It was alright in pace, but the story needed more because it felt very empty by the time the credits rolled. The performances and goriness took me for a spin at times, but I think the reason I felt empty was because of how typical it was. Started by gripping my attention but weakened it by being slightly cliche, not just in the religious genre but every other trope it takes. All in all, it was predictable but suspenseful.

Great acting from Sydney Sweenie. But having watched a lot of horror movies this felt rushed and wasn’t that much scary as I thought. Idea is great I guess as well as the cast but it needed to be deeper and scarier in my opinion bc a few jump scares here and there won’t do a lot.

If you like horror give it a shot won’t blow you away but a diff type of religious horror then used too , some good kills and Sydney is everywhere And doing everything and I’m here for it !!!!! New IT girl for sure
