4.9 - Not great but I kinda really liked it?

It’s one of the most authentic feeling found footage/shaky hand-cam horrors in a long time. Neither of the leads are especially gifted *actors* but they do have the right camera presence for this type of story. Leaning on their YouTube/TikTok experience gave this a level of realism that is sometimes sorely missed in this subgenre.

The intro travel & set up was way too long & had some of the shakiest & blurriest camera work of all time, plus way too many camera switches, but once they reach their destination the vibe shifts well. It’s incredibly derivative & tropey, but they use their chosen mythology well, leave plenty of bread crumbs from the start, & provide a pretty memorable final sequence.

I think this may have worked better as a 30-40 minute short film, but a definite A-for-effort on a minimal budget.

Went in with low expectations and it still wasn't great. I'm a big found footage fan and I had a rough time sitting through this one.

Tried to mix Blair witch with grave encounters with a splash of cults and basically failed everywhere. This slow burn at an hour and twenty minutes was way too long for me. Not worth your time.

Scary but acting was awful

6/10 this was a weird watch. Loved the found footage and weird bits. But had some slow points that felt pointless

It’s giving paranormal activity but worse. The continuity was messy. You have to know the YouTubers to know why they did certain things. The whole plot literally revolved around them reading a Wikipedia article.
