it's a typical horror which didn't really excite me - it was boring. i didn't want to finish it and it was very predictable. wouldn't watch again ever.

Another overrated garbage. Call it a classic all you want, it will never change the fact that it’s terrible.
There’s a huge difference between calling a movie good because you watch it during a cozy time of the year or whatever, and it actually being good. Terrible acting from-

Even 40 years later, this proves to be a timeless classic. Carpenter shows his early greatness at executing a simple, yet frightening, concept with style and excellence. Michael Myers is an icon and it's all because of this original gem.

What can I say that hasn’t been said? This movie is a classic. It started a lot of tropes and molded the slasher genre into what it is today. I think everyone can take something from the original even if you don’t like horror. 8/10

Do I need to talk about it? 8.5/10

7/10 It’s a cult classic I grant and you have to watch it at least once but personally the plot was missing something that would have made it stand out.

Had to watch it on Halloween, for some reason I felt like I watched this but I never did. Definitely felt slow in the beginning, and also Laurie was pissing me off with her whimpering. Also how did he learn to drive? He was six when he went away lol.

pretty slow for me, like all horror movies because they don’t actually scare me, but this one has a lot of all timer scenes. good jump scares and the theme is great. same for the way any scene with michael is shot. im sure it should be marked ‘love’ but ill have to watch a few more times.

I have spent the last three hours practicing his slow, silent glide down my hallway.
My cat is terrified but I’m inspired.

Halloween is a brilliant instructional video on why you should never babysit, why knitwear is superior outerwear, and why you should always double check the backseat of your station wagon.

I’m gonna go stand motionless in my neighbor’s clothesline until they notice me.

This is my first time watching this movie it wasn’t as good as I expected…😕 It was very slow, and I waited because I anticipated more, and I don’t know how this became a franchise from this one movie but at least the other movies were better than this one.

Good for it’s time and also classic if it wasn’t for that 5/10 but as it is 7/10
