it's a typical horror which didn't really excite me - it was boring. i didn't want to finish it and it was very predictable. wouldn't watch again ever.

Another overrated garbage. Call it a classic all you want, it will never change the fact that it’s terrible.

Even 40 years later, this proves to be a timeless classic. Carpenter shows his early greatness at executing a simple, yet frightening, concept with style and excellence. Michael Myers is an icon and it's all because of this original gem.

What can I say that hasn’t been said? This movie is a classic. It started a lot of tropes and molded the slasher genre into what it is today. I think everyone can take something from the original even if you don’t like horror. 8/10

Do I need to talk about it? 8.5/10

7/10 It’s a cult classic I grant and you have to watch it at least once but personally the plot was missing something that would have made it stand out.
