this coming out after the substance was probably very bad for itself, very substance-esque in its premise and message but not executed nearly as well, or acted as well
effects were good and some nice shots at the start of the movie but not enough to surmount other issues

I love body horror, no but really poor girl such an awful set of events,loved how the actresses basically Changed Roles for the story, would have liked to see her escaped though, may be a more memorable ending than another oh, oh well shes a monster now like Together,Subst.

Great concept for a film, it wasn’t horror in a way that it was scary, more like gore. And I mean lots of gore. Not for the faint hearted or people who don’t like blood. But overall really enjoyed watching it. 6/10.

It was good. The pacing held up, visuals were sharp, and the performances felt authentic. Some scenes dragged, but overall, it left a strong impression.

I enjoyed the story and special effects but the body horror was a bit too much for me at times. Going in blind, it was better than expected and definitely worth a watch!

It has a pretty interesting concept, and watching Wei lose her mind and dig herself deeper over time was hard to watch. Though I do think the plot wasn’t as interesting and there could’ve been more done with acting and suspense, still kind of teaches a lesson through Wei’s doom

I went in blind and I’m glad I did. This was a pretty crazy movie that I enjoyed! I’m not usually a body horror movie fan but this was great.

I like the premise. I like the effects. Some great body horror moments. It doesn’t completely work though. There’s glaringly obvious differences in speech, height, body shape, etc… that a face graft just doesn’t account for. It’s still a fun movie and interesting. Just falls a bit short.
