I know this movie kind of gets a lot of hate but I don’t know why. It’s a messed up story obviously but a very engaging one none the less. I find Robert Pattinson’s character tragic and compelling for all the wrong reasons. This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Similar to it’s Safdie brother counterpart Uncut Gems in pace, I found Good Time to be more digestible. A champion brother, emotionally portrayed by Pattinson, tries to do what’s best for his bro while doing all the wrong things along the way. A modern Lennie and George OM&M stry

7.7 - similar to Uncut Gems, a 100 minute panic attack. An extremely frantic pace, bright colors, non-stop pulsing synth, & one of Pattinson’s best performances all come together for a hell of a trip & a clear intro to the Safdies’ style. Just don’t know if I can watch it again.

Good Time is a frantic ride, but at the core of the film is the brothers' relationship. Both are desperate to get out of New York and start a new life, even if they have to borrow and steal to achieve it.

These dudes did NOT have a good time. I do feel like we kinda should be past casting non neurodivergent or disabled actors for characters that are either of those. Because like these guys will find drug addicts and people who just got out of jail and aren’t actors to be in their movies, but couldn’t find an actor that has a mental disability?? But I have to say Benny was really good in the role so idk. Still idk why they couldn’t have cast somebody else but like that’s hardly the worst thing that happened on the set of this movie apparently 😭😭. I kept waiting for the scene with the 17 y.o. girl that the guy who played ray said some weird shit to and like nobody did anything, but did they cut the whole scene? I assumed they would have cut the unscripted parts of him being a creep but idk. Overall still really good and I love to be anxious as fuck watching a movie.

Watched like 90% years ago but finished it finally. Such chaos from each medium, cinematography, acting, and writing/dialog.

This movie makes me so uncomfortable the entire time. There is so much chaos and insane things happening that you’re just in an anxiety ridden state watching this movie. Robert Pattinson did a fantastic job.

Honestly, this movie makes me not want to commit a crime EVER. Crazy ride the entire film and a solid watch for sure 9/10

Okay movie but I just couldn’t get into it the way I wanted to. The storyline is good as well as the acting but overall it was not as appealing to me for whatever reason
