Actually a lot better and more sincere than I thought it’d be.

I’m not usually a fan of when biopics cover such a large period of time, but it felt effective here. I’m glad the film opted to focus on Ingle and Hamed’s relationship over his career, making for a far more interesting and original film. The film felt thankfully in-biased, balanced, showcasing the rift as a fault of them both.

One of the better performances of Brosnan’s career, he put in a lot of heart and was great to see such a push from him at this stage of his career. First I’ve seen Amir El-Masry, I can’t say I was too familiar with Naseem Hamed going in, but from clips that were shown in the credits, he seemed to get it pretty spot on, and on a whole producing a very fine performance.

Strong biopic, the ending really worked for me - at first leaving me a bit icky with how neat it was before revealing the truth - very effective.
