Very solid revenge thriller with a British flare. Michael Caine in his most iconic performance and he is great. I feel that it meanders just slightly around the midpoint but beyond that I have no notes. The atmosphere is urgent & tense, and the ending is thematically and visually

Caine is a beast. Perhaps life as a gangsta isn’t so bad. Seeing Newcastle in the 60s was really interesting since it’s so different to how it is now. Knowing exactly where scenes were filmed is a strange feeling. Very cool costumes all round, very tight around the waist for all. 07.01.26.
