Raiders of the Lost Ark

It is a great movie considering the time it has been made.

I think a way to describe this movie is of its time for 81 this is fucking impressive it has but now this movie is just kinda mid also the story is down right cartoonish and the ending doesn’t leave you satisfied 6/10

esse filme me ensinou que antropólogo só fica rico roubando indígena

Enjoy this more every time I watch it. Beautiful visuals, magical soundtrack, perfect pace & direction, & just the right amount of humor. A masterpiece of practical action filmmaking; everything feels authentic. High stakes fun sequences. Indy & Marion’s dynamic is so charming.

Rated: 9.1/10 ⭐️

I wanted to revisit the absolute blueprint for action-adventure movies. I love this; it’s a masterclass ride that completely holds up with its gritty action and charm.

What Worked:
• Ford is iconic, bringing a gruff, make-it-up-as-I-go energy I really dug.
• Allen as Marion is amazing; she’s tough and has fantastic chemistry with Indy.
• Practical stunts like the desert truck chase look ridiculously good.

The Friction:
• Matte paintings during travel scenes look a bit dated to me now.
• The early government briefing scene really dragged the pacing for me.
• I kinda wished they fleshed out Belloq’s historical rivalry with Indy more.

Verdict:
I love this. Watch for the gold standard of adventure. Skip if snakes freak you out.

Movie magic amazes me
