Haven’t laughed that hard in a theatre for a long time. This movie felt like a genre of its own. One of the weirdest, strangest, and hilarious movies I’ve ever seen. It could only be pulled off by Tim Robinson. Everyone involved with this movie licked a toad before filming.

Weirdly funny and entertaining, but the plot runs thin. I had no idea what to expect apart from an unnatural friendship, and that's exactly what you get, albeit underwhelmingly. There are a few outrageous escalations and a few genius jokes, but they play out far too strangely and slowly. I lost interest a couple of times, so all in all, if you're looking for a heartwarmingly calm yet confusingly relatable flick with a decent soundtrack, this would be it. Otherwise, don't expect too much.

awkwardly funny with some hilarious dialogue. the main character is so unlikeable and i understand it was purposefully done. this movie felt like a series of events rather than a proper plot. i was kinda disappointed but also not, just wish it had some wholesome ah moments. (5.2/10)

4.7/10 I wanted to like this but it just wasn’t what I thought it would. A24 was trying to go full on comedy but it just felt like one long Tim Robinson skit that had no direction, character development and wasn’t even that funny. Still a big Tim guy but full movies are not it

The movie was entertaining but I felt it had a lot of wasted potential. I felt he could’ve told a lot more jokes than he did. Especially since there was barely a real plot.

Tim Tim Tim. I truly do not know how to rate this movie. It is the most unique, weird, uncomfortable comedy I have ever seen and it couldn’t be pulled off with anyone except Tim. I cried laughing but I don’t know if i was in a mood or I was with the right people. Stupid Funny.

I watched this for Paul Rudd. I don’t really get Tim Robinson’s brand of humor. I wish people would stop casting hot wives (Kate Mara) with men who are just not.

Points for absurdity I suppose but I guess I really just don’t get this humour…I laughed a couple times but at the end of the day I think this is just one of those “it’s not for me and that’s ok.” It seems like a certain audience really liked it so there’s that…

absolutely one of the funniest movies i’ve ever seen. tim robinson remains one of the greatest comedians of our modern age, proving that his absurdly unique style works perfectly on the big screen. as awkward and painful as it is hilarious and clever; everything works

Exactly what I expected and completely unexpected at the same time. 5 or 6 laugh out loud moments and 100 moments of “classic Tim”. Score was ass, production was great, acting was great, story was wild. Watching Tim makes me feel better about myself.
