The End of Oak Street

I don’t 100% see why it’s getting mixed reviews. This is a good thrilling movie.
It was basically one big Twilight Zone Movie.
Loved the early 80’s esthetic and wonder of films from that time period(just with modern special and visual effects).

Holy Sh*t they're doin' it

Honestly surprised me with how good and bad it is. The characters are unbelievably stupid but the designs are brilliant. Also they pushed it to a level i didn’t expect, and I’m so glad that they took the risk

It’s no Jurassic Park or anything, but it’s objectively a good time

I love how at the end they go back in time to stop it, it’s like the question, if you can go back in time and see the person you had lost, if you would do it, so that’s why at the end they see the dad.

I actually liked this quite a bit
it was probably 30% dinosaurs 70% family dynamics but still pretty good considering the lack of dinosaur movies that aren’t Jurassic park related (those dinosaurs looked weird though)

I do really hate that the wife ends up staying with the husband bc it felt like an “oh but you would really miss your bum husband if he died “ like just bc you don’t want someone dead doesn’t mean you need to spend your life with them; she clearly wasn’t happy in her nuclear family

Also I LOVE the minor lesbian representation but I also hate that they never solidified anything with a kiss or something bc now there can still be idiots out there disputing whether they were really lesbians or “good trauma bonded friends”
