ngl i watched this in a film class that i had to take twice &the first go round it didn’t seem like something i’d enjoy so i just didn’t watch it. the next semester i watched it in class & WOW this movie is wild. it’s also an A24 film so it’s aesthetically pleasing, but holy shit

the thing we fear being told in a raw style visually for us all to see? mwah

When I watched it a few years back I was scared, now I rewatched it and I came to the conclusion that the poor guy didn’t have a reason to die … and also that the machine is crazy.

This feels like a Black Mirror episode.

A.I is where society is headed in our lifetime and it’s is very scary to know they are smarter than us.

If you like Detroit: Become Human than you’ll love this movie. 🦿

Really good sci-fi movie that raises some interesting moral and philosophical dilemmas ​​​​​​​​​

For me it's just a very simple explanation of...it was boring, the idea, the actors, the scenes, I enjoyed that, but I wish there was more action more excitement, because for example the end, I didn't mind that at all, but I wish something more happened, for a 1:40 movie, boring

8/10 - Realistic A.I. film with a dark undertone. This is probably one of the best films that includes futuristic technology and artificial intelligence. This film shows what can almost certainly happen in the future, especially with the developments of A.I. recently. Great film.

a beautifully concise film with stunning visual effects and a perfectly self-contained story, ex machina raises questions on AI development as well as existentialism and love. great acting and writing make for a stellar minimalistic sci-fi experience

The atmosphere in this movie is very ominous. I feel like this movie successfully shows the dangers of AI if it becomes sentient. Solid cast, great soundtrack, and incredible special effects. I think this is Alex Garlands best film.

Genuinely one of the best movies I’ve seen. Simplistic but the concept and twist at the end blew my mind. If you enjoy Black Mirror, this is quite similar in tone.

Great movie, crazy movie. Seems more and more realistic every time you watch it. Plot is incredibly interesting, reminds me of a black mirror episode. Highly recommend

Genuinely crazy to me that this can be seen as a real warning to humanity, especially nowadays. I wish writing-wise, the ending went to a different place. However, I think the message to us as a species is more important and overall it still told a good story.

8/10, I liked the plot. Also, I’d say I was surprised by the ending.
