Ex Machina

ngl i watched this in a film class that i had to take twice &the first go round it didn’t seem like something i’d enjoy so i just didn’t watch it. the next semester i watched it in class & WOW this movie is wild. it’s also an A24 film so it’s aesthetically pleasing, but holy shit

the thing we fear being told in a raw style visually for us all to see? mwah

When I watched it a few years back I was scared, now I rewatched it and I came to the conclusion that the poor guy didn’t have a reason to die … and also that the machine is crazy.

smooth dialogue, easy to follow plot with a GREAT climax. i loved the dancing scene felt real asf. (6.4/10)

The dillemas that the film is puttin us alongside actors are great for further disscusion, but overall, with characters as written this film leaves watcher unsatisfied

the equivalent to believing a stripper when she says “I love you” while giving you a lap dance
