Evil Dead II
I definitely liked this one WAY more than the first. I feel like even though it had even more crazy visuals and acting and plot, it felt like more of a movie and was way less annoying. Ash is a cutie patootie who looks great covered in muck and needs a nap. That ending? Wild lmao

Evil Dead II
“Groovy”
What a fucking movie man, my god was that good, genuinely never been more surprised loving anything this much more on a rewatch.
Where do I even begin? Let’s start with the fact that the acting is incredible, the soundtrack is iconic and amazingly made, the pacing is practically perfect, and even the stop motion is peak, like holy fucking shit.
1st Act 9.5/10 (Has its amazing moments, but when you watch The Evil Dead so close to Evil Dead II it feels weird watching the first like 20 minutes.)
2nd Act 11/10 (Enthralling, Iconic, phenomenally done, absolute horror perfection, not to mention funny.)
3rd Act 10/10 (An amazing final and closing act that ties everything and more together. Also loved the body horror in this, practically puts The Thing to shame.)
Plot 11/10 (You couldn’t have executed this better if you had an infinite amount of monkeys working on it.)
Soundtrack/Score 10/10 (Genuinely an out of body experience, I’m so listening to this standalone.)
Acting 10/10 (Bruce Campbell is a fucking legend, he’s so good in this I’m actually jealous he’s too old to be in one of my future films.)
Pacing 10/10 (Relentlessly fun, incredibly enjoyable, and it feels like the cherry on top towards this films rewatch ability.)
Cinematography 9.8/10 (Not in the pretty way, but the atmosphere and shot placement are actually impeccable.)
Character Development 9/10 (I love Ash so fucking much. Wait there’s other people in this?)
Writing 9.8/10 (Some of the most iconic one liners in all of cinema, along with just some really good dialogue.)
Ending 9.7/10 (Amazing, just absolutely amazing, I can’t wait for my Army Of Darkness rewatch.)
Direction 11/10 (I’m such a fan of the direction in this, like multiple times watching this I’m like, wow, Raimi knows his shit.)
Overall
120.8/120
Evil Dead II earns rightfully so, a perfect 10/10, making it one of two horror movies to do so. That being Evil Dead II ofc and Get Out.
And quite frankly my dear, this is just better. Meaning that to me as of now, Evil Dead II is the greatest horror I’ve ever seen.
