One of the worst movies I’ve ever watched; as a trans person I was disgusted to see how transness was shown and I’m furious to see a movie with these characters written by white rich cis men; just stop. Also, the songs and the dialogues are terrifying (and wtf Tel Aviv??? Fuck)

painful watch, the story actually great and heartbreaking but ISTG WHY DID THEY HAVE TO SING? ITS HORRIBLE LIKE IM ACTUALLY INTO THE STORY AND AT THE WORST MOMENT THEY SING BAD SONGS.

Transgender &/ musicals usually don't resonate with me at all, but the setting in which it’s presented is fascinating.
Such an illusion to think everything is malleable and kinda egocentric to manipulate those around you like that, bound to boomerang sooner or later…

This movie was something. The only positive thing was Zoe Saldaña. Initially, they wanted her to portray a Mexican woman, but she insisted her character to be Dominican, cuz why make her represent someone she isn't, I have so much to say about this movie, but I can’t write it!!

I early I couldn’t even make it halfway thru without starting to skip parts
I watched it for Selena and her parts were great <3
