6/10 Pay attention because it’s a story driven movie with small details

Damn, didn’t expect this film to as good in the slightest. Genuinely am surprised of the acting, suspense and writing. 
Honestly watch this film. 
Sydney was great in this as always.
Hard hitting and emotional nearly psychologically impacting.

I went into this film completely blind. It is a little slow at the beginning, but stick with it, you will not be disappointed! It has one of the best twists I’ve seen in a long while. That and It’s nice to see Sydney Sweeney actually showing some range!

I went into this movie knowing almost nothing, aside from it being about a mother and daughter. I was genuinely shocked by what both women were willing to do—the daughter, driven by her addiction, acted out of pure selfishness, while the mother was willing to go to any lengths to protect her child.

My only gripe is the ending—I really don’t like when movies leave things open to interpretation. I’d like to believe the mother, having found new strength, will finally stand up to her daughter, but at the end of the day, she’s still her mom.

And I have to say, the best friend in this movie was truly the definition of a real friend. If anyone knows what it means to show up, it’s her!
