Little Disasters

I went in pretty blind, so I was very happy to learn that the show is British and not American. It wouldn't have been the same if the setting was American, imo. The plot twist at the end was really good, it made sense and wasn't just a twist for the sake of having a twist.

This was a very enjoyable mini series. This was a map of dynamic relationships we have with ourselves, our lovers, friends and as a group. Plot held together and acting was great. It pulls you in fast the way a good mystery should. Overall it’s about 8.5/10.

Ahh, this was a surprisingly good binge. I genuinely had no idea what direction the story was heading in until the very end, but the progression toward it was worthwhile. I liked how the writing gave you enough time to assume while outlining the dangers of what assuming can do. 'Little disasters' blown up into complete disasters. From parenting, marriage, motherhood, and friendship to public services like the NHS, social services, and law enforcement, the messages and motifs were so well executed. All topped off with striking performances from such an underrated cast. Not a single weak act.
