Days of Heaven

Some great cinematography and the shots of the fields were beautiful, but the plot didn’t really stand out in any way for me. There was no tension being built so when we got to the climax, it just fell kind of flat.

The music, cinematography, and directing slapped. But I didn’t care for a single one if the characters and the little sister narrating was just done poorly and a bad choice imo. The last 30 minutes were the best section of the movie, but the ending dragged and dragged.

this is absolutely the most visually stunning film that i’ve ever seen, considering that it was shot with natural light nearly half a century ago; every frame is a masterpiece. excellent all-around, an engrossing watch full of biblical references and malick’s charms. beautiful
