Movie about the Lengths we will go to in order to escape the monotony of the day to day tasks at work and the office dynamics involved. Felt this movie had potential but never really got there.

Such a strange and envoloping movie. It sucks you in with the secret room and what it’s doing there. I was surprised they showed that Orson was the only person who could see it early on. But made sense as the movie went on and showed he really could use it not only to calm himself but to get work done at an efficient rate.
Now that’s where I get really confused. If the room isn’t real, and he’s shuts staring at the wall (which is what we see right at the end) thinking he’s in his “happy place”, how’d he get all the case files redone so wonderfully?
Also the narration didn’t really bother me, but it was throughout the entire movie. And if the first half of the narration is him explaining his start and incident to the company therapist, then what was the second half of the narration?
I liked it, it kinda was what I expected it to be, I was just hoping for a clearer understanding of the actual meaning of the theme.

I think you have to have worked in a corporate environment pre pandemic to really get this film, but it really is fantastic. It’s an interesting allegory for the weird social structures and relationships between employer and employee.

I felt like this film had potential but just took too long to get to any of the points that were trying to be made. I liked the narration and the styling choices for how it was made however i think lacklustre writing was its biggest downfall.

So so only. It’s not even worth the time and a 6.0 rating. Rating should be less than 5.
