watched in film studies it was really good and helped me appreciate black and white films more

citizen kane, despite its acclaim, is an overrated film that falls flat in several critical areas. this movie is excruciatingly boring, it completely failed to engage anyone in the room for most of its runtime, even the biggest cinephiles. the is dense and difficult to follow, it left us feeling disconnected from the characters and plot. kinda just feels like that one guy who thinks he’s smarter than everyone but his levels of intelligence are well below average, y’know? but overall, the screenplay is poorly written, lacking the coherence and emotional depth that a film of its supposed caliber should possess. it’s a disappointing experience that doesn't live up to its legendary reputation. i can name so many films from this era that deserve the adoration this film has.

interesting plot idea, a little boring at times but credit where it’s due, the cinematography in this movie was kinda great 🤓
also i guessed what rosebud was🧍‍♀️

Beautiful

kinda disappointed with how the story progressed. first half was so brilliantly written and directed but at the same time the second half felt like it was written by a completely different person with different ideas.

btw remarkable cinematography and score
