Chronicle Reviews

This beautifully transitions from a fun, charming, self insert power-trip only to show the implications of having that power & the consequences of using it irresponsibly. A grounded retelling of the superhero story with a close and personal feel that makes it hit even harder.

One of the best power films

Some bits of acting seemed cheesy and forced (Andrew and Steve’s heart to heart in the car) and the dialogue had some unnatural bits, but overall the movie was incredible. The ending was great and the evolution of camera work over time was fascinating.

The cinematography is very interesting and unique and I enjoyed seeing a movie made like this but I feel like it does limit some aspects of the film so we miss some parts that would’ve been useful to see (u’ll get it when u watch it)

100% recommend to experience it tho

So glad this exists. Amazing movie

I had that cheesy Dvalishvilli grin on my face most of it

Felt like a passion project, and it was touching without ever sticking its fingers down my throat.

Better than anything marvel or DC. Perfect length.

andrew needa chill fr

Very interesting take on a superpower film, was decently emotional and smartly written

My score: 8/10

I want superpowers 😤

This lowkey might be one of my favorite movies. Definitely the best take on the whole “what if superpowers were real?” and yes that includes The Boys. I remember I would watch this movie at least once per high school year because I loved it so much.

A lot of the acting felt awkward, maybe that’s the point but it just didn’t feel real. Didn’t like how the special effects were inconsistent. Some sucked and some were okay. Story was interesting though, ending was cool.

a realistic movie of what would happen if teens got superpowers

Really bad and predictable, don’t waste your time. The visual effects are trash for a 2012 movie

WOW. Just wow!

this was fucking amazing

Boring bad acting looks like a movie filmed in high school super boring

Really gives an accurate fell as to how some teenagers would react to powers and their spiral out of control but felt a little short, I mean I want them to explore more avenues of their powers and the world. Still, a fantastic watch

Love found footage movies and the superpowers are displayed in a really cool way

Definitely going into my top superpower movies for its creative usage of the camera and down to earth feel. They really captured the essence of what it would be like if the boys got superpowers. 8.5/10 girls with purple hair

Cool movie with an unique story about supernatural powers and it’s consequences.
