Glad I failed as a child actor 🙃

I did not expect to cry to this, but alas, tears were shed

The psychology of fame is a special interest of mine, being a celebrity seems like it can be a traumatic experience, imagine having no privacy, needing to be “perfect, triple threat skinny” star always performing for the brand. Must have been alot of pressure.

A beautifully executed piece about the effects of the life that got imposed on child stars

such an amazingly well made documentary. i appreciate how it dives into the issues without going too heavy into it so it’s not hard to watch or emotionally taxing to watch. i’m glad that all of them seem to be doing better

Had some good beats, but it ignored a lot of the issues within the industry. Would have made a better Demi Lovato memoir.

- very sad that child stars were, and still are, so neglected in the industry

not much to say, just sad. sad that children were working and miserable and exploited. I hope they all find good therapy and love.

I really like the actors and actresses that were featured in this documentary, but I feel we all knew these things already. We all know about Demi’s eating disorder, and we all knew about how child actors money gets taken from their family. It wasn’t really entertaining. My favorite part was Jojo Siwa talking about when she came out as gay and Nickelodeon blacklisted her for it. I love Drew Barrymore as well, so I did like the parts about her. I’m also curious if Demi got permission to use footage from certain people in this documentary. For example, was Ryan’s mom (Ryan’s World) okay with them using her son’s footage, or Amanda Bynes? 3/10

A Documentary turned therapy session of several notable former child stars that works hard to be outstaged by its Director and main subject.

More people need to watch this and to understand the seriousness of child acting. Great documentary.

It was interesting but I feel like we have heard and know all the stars stories already. Also, why was Keenan wearing sun glasses the whole time!? I get the point of the doc but it wasn’t exciting or anything new

very enlightening to hear these stories from their perspective. makes you empathize with them, and honestly i’m proud of how they made it through

Sad to see how the internet is taking over the kids these days

Very well done by Demi Lovato. Well casted and great look into the life of child stars!!

It’s crazy to see what they went through as children and how it still affects them now.
