Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy
I really enjoy all the Bridget Jones diaries movies. However, this one fell a little short for me. It dragged quite a bit and it didn’t have the charm that I’ve come to love from these movies. However, this movie did come around for me in the end, which ultimately did make me enjoy it. It’s just not as great as I would’ve hoped.

It was emotional and beautifully made. Im glad she got her happy ending. The other thing that bothered me was that her and mabels hair was never brushed properly. (5-14-25)

Another movie I watched on shift so I missed the first 15 and the last 20 but the bits I did watch it was actually not half bad as the comedy could be funny at times and the emotions are there when needed (ballon scene was peak) take this with a grain of salt but decent 8.4/10

A fun, sparky rom-com with an utterly charming lead, but also a beautiful meditation on grief and the ups-and-downs of parenting and mid-life living.

9/10 great fun/ feel good film with some hart touching moments. Not forgetting of course the “Lip” scenes- very funny. Hugh Grant on top from. There’s always room for more adventures (doesn’t necessarily need to be romantic just in the life of would suffice).

straight up the worst one yet, no redeeming qualities. they are soo obsessed with reusing the same story every movie and it’s so tiring. there was no good reason to kill mark darcy except to feed into the same story weve seen trice before now with two different men. ballon scene

Make sure you’re emotionally stable for this one folks… I cried at least 4 times! Good to see so many of the original cast in there. Will always be a sucker for a Bridget movie - she’s relatable on too many levels 🥰

i lost a family member with two young kids and a wife a few months ago and the way this movie handles that situation and the grief of it was so good. i cried so much and it honestly helped me to be able to handle my grief even better. i think everyone should see this one

i thought this was going to be a lazily thrown-together nostalgia cash grab, but this was refreshingly good. a beautifully told story that still has all the usual bridget jones silliness. i hope they keep making these movies. i need to know what bridget is up to at 80

I love Bridget Jones! But was even more sceptical to this one. I was so wrong, because this gave me closure. We se Bridget handling life without Mark, and I can tell you I was emotional during the hole movie. I loved it and it was a great ending to the Bridget Jones universe.
