Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

Sob fest. Why did they name him Roxster though??

I really enjoy all the Bridget Jones diaries movies. However, this one fell a little short for me. It dragged quite a bit and it didn’t have the charm that I’ve come to love from these movies. However, this movie did come around for me in the end, which ultimately did make me enjoy it. It’s just not as great as I would’ve hoped.

It was emotional and beautifully made. Im glad she got her happy ending. The other thing that bothered me was that her and mabels hair was never brushed properly. (5-14-25)

I understand the moral of the story and it made me cry, however, there was no need to kill Mark. I found it unnecessary. If they wanted to make another movie, it could be about them dealing with their life now married and with kids.

3/5 - it was quite a sweet movie, but I was not a fan of the whole young lover storyline & am grateful she ended up with the age appropriate guy. Overall I wasn’t really that invested in it but then again I’ve only seen the first movie so I’m missing a lot of context (my own fault lol)
