Battleship Potemkin

This film truly surprised me. I had to watch this for film class and I really enjoyed it. While it’s a propaganda film, it still has great editing and cinematography with some insane sequence like the one on the steps. This truly paved the way for future films and editing.

While the cinematography and editing are brilliant and I was able to appreciate what this film has done for cinema and the art of filmmaking, this is still a piece of silent age Soviet propaganda. But yeah, that sequence on the Odessa steps is insane. 8/10
