8.0 - This was a blast. A little bit A Quiet Place, a little bit Aliens. Weird creatures, cool traps, bloody fights, a little emotion, strong tension, & great performances from all 3 leads. It’s very dark visually, & the occasional shaky cam was bad, but those are minor issues.

An infuriatingly simple Creature Feature that skimps on any plot, setting, or character development.

This movie gave me such anxiety. It was slow at first but once it got going it was great! I was fighting tears at one point I was so on edge. I did not expect to love this movie as much as I did!

Stupid and bad.

None of the characters’ decisions made any sense. So much manufactured conflict that wouldn’t exist. Scenes that ask you to feel the emotional weight without doing the work to make you care, or to have the consequences matter, because they weren’t necessary in the first place.

The plot is beyond predictable. You can guess every choice a character makes before they do. Many opportunities to tell an interesting story that are just ignored for the low hanging fruit.

Laughable effects and creature design. There are two scenes that I thought were intriguing and creepy, and beyond those, I was laughing out loud at the creatures. The chomping??? The GIANT WHEEL??? Yall have got to be kidding.

The performances of the two leads are the only thing that kept this interesting. They took a terrible script and made it somewhat watchable. I can’t believe someone read this and greenlit it.

Similar vibe to A Quiet Place. Not as good, but still entertaining

Scary flicks still aren't my thing but since they are Hollywood's favorite genre right now, we're trying to be open minded and try some out. This is a mildly fun if sort of pointless ride.
