Angel Heart Reviews

absolutely fantastic film, very underrated movie, Mickey Rourke in his best work, his acting is phenomenous, the twist at the end is so great, Robert DeNiro has so low scream time, wasted opportunity but the film is masterpiece

Bizarre in a good way

10/2/26: Thrilling and fun ride! So many twists, and it’s seeped in such a gothic and unique atmosphere. Wild, wild ass movie!!

Supernatural Neo Noir with two of the greats. Loved the two settings that the main character had to navigate through in his search. A grimy New York City and a hot backwards New Orleans. 9/10

This would make a killer double feature with In the Mouth of Madness. 🔥

Too out there for me. Rourke did okay in the noir vibe and New Orleans was a cool backdrop. De Niro gave me the ick. Bonet was something.

6.7/10….decent movie but relies too much on the plot twist at the end

Excellent movie! A very unusual role for Rourke, but he plays it very well. This is truly a hidden gem.

A very messed up movie.

Masterpiece of details

Voodoo and De Niro definitely not a good combination.

Great style and atmosphere even if I can't remember much of the plot. solid film.

craziest thing in this is that mickey rourke actually looks like a real human being

i loved everything ab this movie 😵‍💫

5/10

Kind of average in my opinion. I was able to figure out the twist within the first 5 minutes just by looking at the character name and behavior. Rourke was extremely dull until the last 10 minutes. Also doesn't help De Niro was only on screen for 3-5 minutes tops

7.7/10 De Niro de 😈
